How members opt in

BarDown is a hockey team management app. Adding a mobile number is optional and is not required to use the app or to join a team — members can use every feature without providing a number.

A member who chooses to add their number does so on their own profile screen (Profile → Edit Profile → Mobile Number). A dedicated SMS consent notice appears directly at that field, and the member opts in specifically to receive transactional text reminders. Opting in is never a condition of using any feature.

What we send

Transactional only — RSVP/attendance reminders for upcoming games and schedule-change alerts. No marketing.
Sender-limited — only a member's own team manager can message that team's members.
Frequency varies with the team's game schedule.

Sample message: "BarDown: Reminder — you haven't RSVP'd for Tue 6/17, 10:15 PM vs Voodoo. Reply IN or OUT in the app. Reply STOP to opt out."

Opt-out & help

You can opt out at any time by replying STOP to any message, or by removing your number / turning off SMS notifications in the app. After opting out you receive one confirmation message and no further texts unless you opt back in. Reply HELP for help, or email [email protected].

Message & data rates may apply, depending on your mobile carrier and plan. We do not share your mobile number or your SMS opt-in with third parties for their own marketing.
